About the course
This course introduces the creative process that visual artists and designers each use in their own way. You respond to every assignment personally, drawing on your own experiences, interests and passions.
The work begins with a four-week project called IDENTITY. At key points in the course you meet Anne one to one on Zoom, at a time that fits your schedule, to talk through your work and get help producing pieces of high quality, both in concept and in technique.
You will learn to
- Describe the stages of the creative process and how artists move from research to finished work
- Research and document the materials, methods and techniques of drawing and painting
- Experiment with mark-making as a way of thinking, before making a picture
- Build and present a sketchbook of visual and written research that supports your own project
