Vic Gilmore

Effective coaching means understanding the individual student, finding what is getting in the way, and helping them take practical steps toward their goals. I want every student to know that asking for help is part of the process, and that they do not have to navigate every challenge alone.

Vic specializes in coaching college-bound student-athletes to and through school and into life after the degree. He guides students and families through college readiness, NCAA eligibility requirements, scholarship pathways, recruiting and the transition to college.

He has spent more than 15 years mentoring young adults. At Houston Christian University he served as Assistant Men's Basketball Coach and Academic Advising Coordinator for NCAA Division I student-athletes, reviewing transcripts, monitoring academic progress and planning pathways to graduation. Since 2010 he has run his own student-athlete success practice, and he has coached and mentored players with high school, club and national programs. A first-generation college graduate, he understands what it means to navigate college without a roadmap.
