About the certificate

This online certificate looks at dance practices from around the world and the societies that shape them. Each course focuses on one region and asks how history, politics, religion and globalisation change the way people dance.

Courses are introductory and need no prior dance training. Students finish able to analyse dance from a range of cultural contexts with an informed eye.
