For faculty
Author a course with GOE
We work with artists and scholars to create online courses that colleges and universities license and offer to their students. If you have a course that many institutions would want, we'd like to hear about it.
What we look for
Broad appeal
A subject that students across many majors, or many institutions, would want to take.
Academic substance
Clear learning outcomes, sound scholarship and meaningful assessment.
Built for online
Outcomes students can fully achieve online, with real feedback and interaction.
Your expertise
Recognized standing in the subject and experience teaching it.
We are starting with the arts and humanities and welcome interdisciplinary courses that connect them to other fields.
What authors receive
- A development fee for creating the course
- Royalties when institutions license your course
- Credit as course designer on every offering
- The opportunity to teach your course for partner institutions
- Instructional design guidance and a quality review before launch
Working with GOE
You keep the rights to what you create. GOE licenses your course to institutions, handles contracts and payments, and credits you as its author.
Authors work with GOE as independent consultants under a written agreement that sets out ownership, payment and terms. International faculty are welcome.
